Bleach Character Types
All Bleach characters are souls. Living humans contain souls within their bodies. Disembodied souls, spirits, have a form composed of particles of spiritual energy called ectoplasm (??, reishi?), with an anatomy similar to an ordinary flesh body. This form encompasses all of the spirit's being; there is no distinction between mind and body. Specific character types are described below.
Artificial Soul

Bounts
In the series Bleach, there are a group of humans with special abilities, called the Bounts. They live by consuming human souls, which can give them everlasting youth. Hollow
Hollows are evil spirits, whom of which live in the Hueco Mundo (Hollow World). However, they can cross over to the Soul Society and human world. A hollow is a plus spirit that has lost their heart, leaving with an empty space to fill. This void is filled by devouring others (living and dead).
