Bleach Locations
In Bleach, the living humans of the series live in a world resembling present day Tokyo, in a fictional suburb named Karakura Town. Buried souls live in a heaven called Soul Society, while neglected spirits that have not been "processed" by a Shinigami reside in a temporary condition of torment and suffering, called Hueco Mundo. Evil souls do not fit in to any of these places and are sent to Hell. Once a spirit is sent to Soul Society, they are able to live much longer than humans do while in the living world, with many of the souls living to be thousands of years. However, once a spirits life does come to an end in the Soul Society, it is reborn into the Human World as a new human, thus providing the world with much neeed balance.
Hell
Hell is where those who commit inexcusable acts during their lives in the Human World go. A Hollow, whose mortal soul is too evil to enter Soul Society, goes to Hell. It’s mask is split with a Zanpakuto and a giant laughing spiritual being with a blade, will spear the evil spirit and drag it to Hell.
Human World
The Human World in Bleach much resembles the world we live in today. All events in Bleach take place in Karakura, which is a fictional town in Tokyo. It borders Naruki City on the west. Karakura has been stated as the location in which the royal key must be used in order to access the dimensional space of the king of Soul Society. This requires a concentration of 100,000 souls in Karakura. Two rivers flow in Karakura: Karasu which flows within Karakura and Onose which separates western Karakura from the rest of Tokyo... Hueco Mundo
Hueco Mundo is the area that Hollows reside in. It is located between the living world and Soul Society but doesn’t appear to be the Dangai. It can only be accessed by ripping a hole in the dimensional fabric separating the two worlds, or by using a special technique known as a Garganta. Hueco Mundo has a desert like terrain that seems forever ongoing. Boulders and shriveled trees are a form of quartz in Hueco Mundo... Read More
Soul Society
Soul society is where the spirits of deceased humans go once they are buried. In the Soul society, the average soul lives to exceed one-thousand years of age. However, nobody within the Soul Society is immortal. They can die in two ways; be killed in battle or die of old age. A soul which dies in Soul Society is reincarnated on earth as a new human. This allows for a balance between the two worlds... Read More
